Firmware/ Software
Engineer
You will be in charge of designing embedded software For AV products and
expected to manage projects that may involve collaboration with engineers
in other Panasonic design offices. This is an excellent opportunity to further
drive the innovativeness of our current and new products.
Job Responsibilities:
• Decide key devices to be implemented in the system architecture as well
as software development tools
• Plan and execute software development schedule
• Perform strong collaboration and co-ordination with Panasonic Japan and
external vendors on project planning and execution as well as resolving
technical-related issues
• Perform design review on technical issues related to source code
programming
• Resolve technical issues related to embedded systems
• Review projects and report to top management
• Train and develop software engineers
• Manage5- 10 engineers
Job Requirements:
• Degree, either in Electronics/Communication Engineering or Computer
Science with minimum 6 years' experience in the consumer electronics
industry and minimum 2 years in management and handling a team
• Technical working experience and knowledge in one of the following
areas:
- C/C++ programming
- Linux programming
- Software quality management
- CMM or CMMI — Capability Management Model Integration
- DVD/CD servo control
- DSP programming
- Embedded systems development
•For all positions, you may take charge of one
or more of the following product designs:
-Home theater system
-DVD recording system
-HDD audio system
- Wireless speaker system
- Sub-systems such as DVD back-end module and
SMPS module
-Mini/Micro-HiFi system
-Amplifier and receiver systems for high-end
home theater system
